The Heart Behind 29 Eleven Mediation
29 Eleven Mediation was born out of a deeply personal journey through the family court system. As a parent, I experienced firsthand the challenges and frustrations of navigating custody battles, mediation, and the broader legal process. I quickly realized that no matter how skilled a lawyer may be, they can’t fully grasp the unique dynamics of your family, your history, and the needs of your children. Having a voice in the process — especially when the system feels impersonal and overwhelming — is crucial.
Along the way, I discovered that nearly all family court cases go through mediation before ever reaching a judge. What struck me most was how often mediation felt like a “mill,” with cases moving quickly through lawyers’ hands while the heart of the matter — the well-being of children and families — sometimes got lost. I wanted something different: a mediation practice that truly listens, personalizes the process, and prioritizes resolutions that are both sustainable and focused on the best interests of everyone involved.
At one point, I considered law school as a way to make a difference. But as a full-time parent, I came to realize my calling wasn’t in becoming a lawyer. Instead, it was in using my unique blend of experience and passion to guide families through mediation. I saw both a need and an opportunity to not only help families reach healthier agreements, but also to support them long-term by offering guidance and resources as they navigate life after court.
This practice is more than a business; it’s a mission shaped by my experiences, my faith, and my desire to bring peace and resolution to families in need. My son Jeremiah’s name and the verse Jeremiah 29:11 are at the heart of this journey, reminding me that even in seasons of struggle, there is always hope for a future.
